We needed a restaurant in French Lick that would accommodate the whole family -- 11 people -- for dinner, without breaking the bank and where everyone could find something on the menu that they'd like. Power Plant Bar & Grill fit the bill! We came here before going on The Polar Express. The server gave us a long table just outside the main door to the restaurant. Power Plant's menu includes a lot of the bar-and-grill mainstays, like sandwiches, burgers and heavy apps. It also has a kids menu (much appreciated!). I got the Hoosier Reuben, made with corned beef, turkey, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing on sourdough. This satisfied what I was wanting and hit the spot. It also has a good beer list. A decent food option, especially if you want to feed the family while at French Lick.

This is a nice place for lunch if you want to stay on-site. We arrived on the late side of the lunch hour and were seated immediately. Our waitress checked in quickly, answered all our questions and checked in on us regularly. The atmosphere is casual. And there is a full service bar at one end of the room. There are several large TVs with various sports activities. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. A bartender broke my $20 for me and while I was waiting a manger came up and asked if I was being taken care of and if I enjoyed my meal. I had the pimento cheese BLT and it was great. Not sure what the bread was, maybe brioche, but it was just thick enough and toasted perfectly. The onion rings were hot and not greasy and the creamy cole slaw was very good also. Food came out quickly and as ordered. They have a full service bar. The cocktail menu has about a dozen drinks, ranging from $8 - $28. They also have a generous selection of beers. Prices are a little higher than typical for the fare due to being in the resort, but there are far more expensive option at the French Lick Resort. The free resort shuttle provides rides between properties, so it's very convenient.

Table of 8 and we were served very pleasantly and efficiently. Nachos appetizer came out quick. Was very good. My bacon cheeseburger was really good. They are "smash" burgers and very good. I was surprised they had steamed veggies in a place like this but they were good too. My wife's club and chips were great. Would recommend highly if you're staying at the resort.

Oh my. Try the Reuben sandwich. Homemade chips too. So good. Friendly service. Reasonably priced. Historical ambiance.

My family ate here for our first meal in French Lick. We were seated quickly and had good service. The food is standard "bar food" type fare mostly, but it was good and everyone was full and happy afterwards! I would deem this place worthy of including amongst your stops when spending some time at the resort.
